The fisrt time for me, but not the last! So nice!
Mrs. Nancy Mwaura
We had requested for an early lunch but the information had not been relayed and so we found a reluctant team at the point. We however did have a good time eventually.
Mr. Dharmesh Ganatra
Osteria - Lenana Road
The food was very bland. We had ordered 2 Penne Osteria, the portions were relatively small. There was no seasoning, barely any flavour.
The restaurant was very busy and the service was seriously lacking, and had to repeatedly request for someone to attend to us.
Only after leaving did we realise that we had been over charged on drinks as well.
Its shameful, that we should pay a premium for food and drinks, whilst the standards are very poor when busy. Not to mention getting short shifted on portion sizes, taste, service and getting robbed off for getting charged for things not consumed.
Ms. Angela Githuthu
I had the beef lasagna, it was a little cold, i am guessing because it was prepared before the lamb chops my partner ordered. Presentation was not that great, i feel like something has changed from the attention to detail Osteria used to have about 5 years ago. The experience was ok...not as great as i hope.
Ms. Eunice Khaguli
fOOD- Pork chops were dry & tough had to order sauce to moisten
Service - Waiters were few ours kept 'disappearing' had to physically look for him to take our desert orders sinceother waiters couldnt take our order.Bizarre?!Whats the point of table numbers?
Ambience - seating was via firewood stoves that had just been lit. Thaks God we arrived early and could move seeting. Smoky night ...i wouldnt come to Osteria for dinner before Fri...hair leaves smelling of smoke. not good.
Bathroom - one facility for ladies is always a challenge.
Mr. Fred Otiena
The place and the food is awesome! but what's disappointing is that when you walk in, no one comes to your aid - as a customer! It's even more annoying that everyone seems to be paying more attention to the white customers and distinguished members of the government than us - the 'normal mwananchi!'
That, when I saw, made me decide to NEVER go back!
The waiters had NO time for you to make up your mind on the food you wanted, and on noticing we were not going to take wine, which was brought to the table before we even asked, we were not asked about the drinks anymore after that. I had to personally get up to go tell someone we were in need of drinks!
The creme of all this was when we were ready to order for dessert, which I had to again, go look for the waiters, because for some reason, they are all outside for the better part of the evening, where all the white customers were seated, the waiter went ahead to 'suggest' strongly that the dessert would be cheaper if I had it outside of the restaurant and not inside!!!? Seriously?!!! I had had it! We quickly then finished our dessert, paid and were OUT!
It was so disappointing that they never even sang 'Happy Birthday' as I had requested them to do for my wife, who was the reason behind the night anyway! What a waste!
All in all, one of the WORST, If not THE WORST experiences in a restaurant, seconded only by 'Highlands Restaurant' in the CBD. With the good food and ambience, it's a pity nothing else is!
Ms. Caroline Opira
The servings are too small. The service needs more attention, intentional too.
Mr. Hillary Kirui
Well taken care of thanks
Ms. Catherine Asego
Mr. Kimenyi Waruhiu
Sadly, my family was led to a less than ideal table that was directly in the path of waiters and diners walking by. We were moved with little fuss to a table of our choice. Unfortunately too, my Osso Bucco was either overcooked or left under a heater in the kitchen for too long. It was chewy and tough. Not the best time I've ever had at Osteria, and sadly the Lenana Road branch is a pale reflection of what it once was.
I liked the experience and would go back again

They could add an extra bathroom especially fr the ladies to avoid waiting
Mr. Kevin Owino
We realy enjoyed our time there.Everything was perfect. My request for a cheesecake for a birthday event was also great and the staff singing happy birthday to my fiance made her day.
Thank you very much Osteria for the experiance and eat out for making the booking process easy.
Mrs. Karen Waithaka
We got there a bit earlier than we had booked and the restaurant said there was no booking made in my name and therefore shoved us to the edge of the restaurant despite having empty tables that we would have preferred to sit at. It took about 15 minutes before we were handed our menus and another 20 to take our orders. Each time we had to flag down a waiter even to clear the table and give us the dessert menu. I am definitely not going back despite the fact that the food was good. Service counts for everything.
Mr. Jude Omondi
Very well done guys keep it up.
Mr. Samuel Njuguna
It being my first time at Osteria Del Chianti, I would have appreciated a little bit of info on the dish i selected rather than just the name, its best wine and cheese paring for instance.
Loved loved the outdoor cosy atmosphere, candle lit tables as well as the warmth from the bonfire and outdoor fireplaces. The food was mildly warm, not hot but amazing nevertheless. Will definitely do an encore.
PS: Good to know I was on the guest list.
Mr. Moses Waiharo
Small cosy setting, though service can improve , no Sweet wine by the glass but food was excellent.
Mrs. Mercy Kuria
Didn\'t get to use your bathroom. The facility is very cosy and warm and having the manager walk around ensuring the clients are fine etc is really enviable - good stuff right there. However, a lady who demanded us move from a table for 4 to a table for 2 could have done a better job. I am also in the Hospitality Industry and surely, there is a way to ask kindly a client to be seated on a different table. We found her to be rude. Sorry, can\'t remember the names. But the waiter who served us was indeed overwhelmed but he for sure delivered without delay. Thanks!
Ms. Sue Wanjiru
loved the intimate aura in the restaurant but was quite disappointed by the service...
Mr. Robinson Esialimba
Excellent all the way
Ms. Danielle Karan
Very good and pleasant place! Very good wines!
First time I used eat out. Great product and service!
Mr. Kenneth Njendu
I went here on a Saturday night for dinner. I was hoping for an intimate dinner but the place was crowded and the band started off well playing soft jazz but got louder as the night progressed. The ambiance in the outdoor seating area was pleasant and the jikos available to warm the area were a nice touch. Service was attentive and pleasant. I ordered the prawns cocktail as an appetizer. It was done well and the sauce was perfect. For the main course I had the seafood risotto. It was bland and the risotto was under cooked. The seafood hardly came though but the meal was made bearable by the a generous application of black pepper. I\'ve had the sesame crusted tuna here before which was nice. It\'s disappointing that a staple Italian dish such as risotto was not done well here.
